History
The Zambesi was in quarantine at the time that she wrecked. The vessel parted from her anchor cables in a strong easterly wind and wrecked. Fortunately, no lives were lost during the incident.

There is some uncertainty about the exact tonnage of the vessel, though it may have been 131 tons.
