History

The Rijksdorp was a retourschip made by the Dutch East India Trading Company in 1713. She was lost on a reef in the Gulf of Bone in 1734. On her last voyage she was accompanied by another ship called the Stad Leiden. They both carried clove with a total weight of 407.034 lb.(184.627 kg). A total of 179.008 lb. of clove was lost when the Rijksdorp sank. All of its crew members were saved.
