History
The Eleanor wrecked while it was crossing the bar on what later became known as the Annabella Bank in Durban Port. Reportedly, the ship wrecked as a result of carelessness but, fortunately, no lives were lost in the event.
Sources are conflicted about the exact date on which the vessel wrecked.
