History
De Diemen made e voyages to Asia. She did so on the first two trips under the name Tilburg Castle. She was renamed Diemen in 1752.
She left Texel for Batavia on December 28, 1752. She then continued to serve in Asia.
In 1756 De Diemen was on his way from Banda to Batavia. Due to a navigation error she beached and sank near the island of Bima. Skipper Frederik Christiaan van der Lit was fired for this.
