The Wimmenum was a fluyt ship. The Wimmenum was in use from 1669 until 1681. 

The fluyt ship was a very successful Dutch designed ship. The ship was very cheaply built, had little or no armament and therefor more cargo space. It could be sailed with a smaller crew than usual. Hence the success of the fluyt. They were mainly used in Europe (Baltic Sea trade).

The Wimmenum was of this category. On 22 March 1681 the Wimmenum was dismantled in Batavia.
