History
The 'Wapen van Delft' was a yacht of the WIC chamber Maze.
In a letter from the WIC leadership, (the Gentlemen XIX), to Johannes Mauritsz, Governor in Brazil (resolutions 19-6-1642, Amsterdam), it is mentioned that 2 ships from the Maze were wrecked at sea: 'The ship Jager and the Wapen van Delft, both of which remained on the voyage.' (OWIC, inv,9_45)
Where, what, and how remains unmentioned. The Wapen van Delft was already in the service of the WIC in 1630.
