History

The Nora (fishery number IJM 178) was a sailing lugger from the Dutch port of IJmuiden.

The ship sailed out on July 17th, 1918 and never came back.

The Nora was lost with all hands. The cause is not certain, but the Shipping Council deemed it likely that it was connected to the wartime circumstances (see references).

All seven crew members died.
