In a letter from the WIC leadership, the Gentlemen XIX, to Johannes Mauritsz, Governor in Brazil (resolutions 19-6-1642, Amsterdam), it is mentioned that 2 ships from the Maze were wrecked at sea: 'The ship Jager and the Wapen van Delft, both of which remained on the voyage.' (OWIC, inv,9_45)
