The Essequebo (Isekepe) was a ship in the service of the Dutch West India Company (WIC).

The ship was on its way back from Essequibo to the Netherlands when it was attacked and captured near Shetland by 4 French privateers and taken to Dunkirk. The skipper was Frederick Convent, who had previously been skipper of the Stad Tholen. He had also lost this ship two years earlier in the Essequebo River..
